Greg Ayres
Greg Ayres is not your average voice actor. The once "Fanboy" turned VA started working for ADV Films just a few years ago, and in that short time managed to snag two of his favorite roles in anime. He was thrilled to voice the role of his favorite character Son Goku in Saiyuki, then just one year later Kaworu Nagisa in the Director's Cut of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Other roles include Chrono in Chrono Crusade, Kaoru in Ouran High School Host Club, Negi Springfield in Negima, Heihachi in Samurai 7, Satoshi Hiwatari in DNAngel, Pope Alessandro XVIII in Trinity Blood, Tsuyoshi in Kodocha, Leo in Ghost Stories, Tsujido in Speed Grapher, and Gau Ban in Shadow Skill. He can also be heard in other anime titles such as Super Gals, Spiral, Macross, Mythical Detective Loki, Burst Angel, Gravion, Godanner, Pretear, Full Metal Panic, E's Otherwise and a whole lot more. When he's not in a booth with headphones on, you can usually find him sporting headphones of another variety behind "the decks". A veteran nightclub DJ of many years, Greg has really enjoyed the opportunity of doing something else that he truly loves. From packed rooms at anime conventions, to the legendary stage of The Knitting Factory (NYC), Greg never misses an opportunity to share his love of music with anyone who will listen. |

Robert Axelrod
Robert Axelrod has carved a career in show business that runs the gamut. Born and raised in New York City, he did commercials and theater as a child and teen, eventually ending up in the Soho Avant-garde Theater scene in a show called “Little Trips”, then Off-Broadway in a play called “The Destroyers”. Axelrod left acting for the world of music. He spent eight years as a working rock musician playing electric bass and singing in folk, rock, and soul bands. Music brought him to Los Angeles where he decided to return to acting, a decision he never regrets. Since then, Mr. Axelrod has appeared in over thirty feature films including four with Charles Bronson, the Sci-Fi hit remake “The Blob” with Kevin Dillon and Shawnee Smith”, “The Last Shot” with Alec Baldwin and Matthew Broderick, and many others. Television appearances include guest star roles on “Amazing Stories”, “Star Trek Voyager”, and “The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He also starred in the Michael Jackson music video “Stranger in Moscow”. Mr. Axelrod is also a busy voice over artist. He is the voice of Lord Zedd and Finster on the “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers”. The Lord Zedd voice is one of the most recognizable character voices around. He voiced Armadillomon and Wizardmon on “Digimon, Microchip, The Punisher’s sidekick, on “Spiderman”, Rico on “Robotech”, and has voiced countless Anime features including “Akira”, “The Big O”, “Cowboy Bebop”, “Brain Scratch”, et al. As Lord Zedd, he starred in both the first Power Rangers feature film and the wildly popular live show that toured the country. He was a regular character on Saban Entertainment’s “Wowser” series (as Ratso Catso), “Journey To The Heart of the World” (as Scarface), “Hallo Spencer” (as Elmer), and more. He just finished narrating the mockumentary “Safety First: The Rise of Women and voicing two Anime series, “Gaiking” and “Danguard Ace”. |

Comiku Girls Comiku Girls is written and drawn by pirates, but since they don't like to appear in public, they let their wenches, Akiko Meigetsu and Li Izumi appear at conventions in their place. Or something like that. Maybe you had to be there. In fact, 'being there' is essential in order to understand the humor of this comic, centered on the convention lifestyle. The situations presented in the comic will be painfully familiar to anyone who has attended anime conventions - or even Sci-fi or gaming conventions. Comiku Girls tells the story of conventions from the other side of the table. The comic centers on Akiko & Li, 2 artists/otaku, and their experiences at various conventions and the occasional life between. Stupid customers, shrieking fangirls, packing for conventions, adventures in cosplaying, the people who run and attend conventions. A comic about art, anime fandom, and the ever-present fanboy! The artists are not your typical otaku. Or at least they like to think so. Each has had a pencil in their hand since they could hold one, and have been telling stories since they could talk. Li Izumi has studied Japanese language and culture for over a decade, including a semester abroad in Akita, Japan. Akiko Meigetsu has studied Brush Painting with a Chinese artist for a year in America to complement her five years of formal study in watercolors. None of which explains their sense of humor. |
