Wanna run a panel at Bakuretsu Con? Of course you do. Everyone does. It’s the best.
WHAT DO PANELISTS DO?
Panelists run panels or other events during the convention. By default, panels are scheduled for one hour (if you need extra time, make sure to mention that in your Panel Pitch!).
WHAT DO PANELISTS GET?
Admiration, fame, glory. Panelists receive a 50% reimbursement on the cost of their badge for each day that they have at least one (1) panel. Panelists that host five (5) or more hours of programming over the weekend receive a 100% reimbursement on the cost of their badge (panelists who are scheduled for five or more hours may work with the programming department to receive a comp badge in advance; comp panelist badges must be picked up from the Info Desk).
Panelists – even if they just host one panel – also get access to Programming Concierges, who are able to help you charge devices, store supplies, and provide logistical support for your panel.
PANEL GUIDELINES
You don’t need any panel presenting experience to host a panel or event at Bakuretsu Con. However, panelists both new and seasoned must adhere to the guidelines:
- Panels must be age appropriate. Panels before 6pm should be appropriate for all ages; panels after 6pm may elect to be age limited.
- Panelists must not advocate for the violation of local, state, or federal laws.
TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS
Our technical staff can do pretty much anything; however, it helps when they know in advance what you need. All panel rooms are equipped with a sound system, two microphones, a projector, and a projection screen. Our projectors have HDMI and VGA inputs. If you need additional microphones, please let us know in advance. If you need to connect a device to the projector that does not have an HDMI or VGA connection, you must provide your own adapter. If you need some other technical need we have not thought of in this paragraph, please let us know. We will attempt to help. We may not be able to do, but by golly we’re going to try.
Application
You can fill the application out as many times as you would like! The event/panel application will not be open until early 2024.
